Korean beauty sales are skyrocketing and Americans are snapping up K-beauty products by the millions to achieve a youthful glow. As we look toward the upcoming Winter Olympics in Pyeong chang, News4's Eun Yang visited some of the oldest and most established Korean beauty brands to learn more about the 10-step skincare regime so many Korean women follow. Shangpree spa in Seoul is the ‘gold standard’ for all who desire chok chok glow.
The unassuming storefront in the capital city of Seoul isn’t particularly fancy or luxurious.
Eun yang is on a mission to discover the secrets that devotees of Shangpree swear by.
Joo Eun Kim is a master esthetician at Shangpree with 18 years of experience.
Her clients include K-pop stars and international celebrities and her own youthful face is a walking advertisement for Korean beauty.




Kim tells me that Shangpree is dedicated to the foundations of good skincare and the latest innovations for healthy vibrant skin.

The results: that chok chok glow.

Chok chok translates to damp… but it means dewy, fresh, bouncy skin that shines from within.

I asked Kim if you have to be native Korean to get that desired glow.

She says anyone can have it if you get enough treatments and maintain your skin, but that is no small feat.

Many Korean women subscribe to a 10-step morning and bedtime skincare regimen that involves two cleansers, exfoliator, essence, toner, serum, a mask, eye cream, moisturizer and a sleeping pack.
